Pastoral Letter - 6th December 2020

Greetings to you my dear sisters and brothers. May grace and peace be yours in abundance.

This is the second Sunday of Advent and the focus is on “Faith.” We are celebrating Advent this year amid the Coronavirus (COVID- 19) disease pandemic. This deadly crisis has affected the entire world. People throughout the world have suffered in one way or another. Multitudes have died. Many others have become sick. Thank God there are many persons who have also recovered well. People’s lives have been disrupted and travel has been seriously hampered.

In this troubled, difficult, and challenging time, we are urged not to be discouraged, fearful nor lose heart, but to trust in our God, who has promised to be our present help in time of need. God will certainly not abandon us in our deepest time of need.

God has truly come to shatter our darkness and gloom and give us eternal life. May we thus hold on to His unchanging hand and never give up as we look with eager expectation to be with Him in eternal glory.

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace’’ (Num. 6:24-26) N I V.

Blessings!

Yours In The Master’s Business,

Telford D. Matthew (Rev.)
