LID District Theme: “Trusting God Through Difficult Times: Transforming Obstacles into Opportunities”



HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF APPEAL- ST KITTS CIRCUIT

In response to the ongoing needs of our brothers and sisters in the Haiti District following the devastation caused by earthquake, members can respond in any of the following ways;

  1. A “Solidarity Offering” to be collected, Lord’s Day, 26 September, 2021.

  2. Monetary donations can be made directly to the Church office or deposited at St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank Ltd – Account Number 25986; Account Name: Methodist Church - St. Kitts Circuit. If deposited to the bank, please indicate same to the Office.



38th ANNIVERSARY OF INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATIONS

In celebration of the 38th Anniversary of Independence, the General Public is invited to join in a Virtual National Prayer Service today, Sunday, 12 September, 2021 at 5:00 pm.

The State Service of Prayer, Praise & Thanksgiving will be held on Sunday, 19 September, 2021 at The Elquemedo T Willit Park, Charlestown, Nevis, commencing at 4:00 pm. Both Services will be carried on ZIZonline and other participating stations.


Members are encouraged to wear National Colours or Dress on Sunday, 19 September, 2021.


MONITOR 2021 HURRICANE SEASON & COVID-19

Please continue to monitor information supplied by the Government Met Office, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC) as we continue to be vigilant regarding the hurricane season and the COVID-19 Pandemic.



ASSISTANCE IN TIMES OF TROUBLE AND NEED

You may know of persons who are in need during this time of crisis, especially some who are quarantined and in dire need of essential supplies;let us, through the CARE Fund stewards, in the true spirit of the Christian Community, demonstrate love and compassion by assisting where necessary.


MCCA WOMEN

The MCCA Women St. Kitts Circuit will be having its annual "Althea Jacobs Lecture Series" on Thursday 16th September, 2021 at the Ebenezer Methodist Church starting at 4:00 pm. Come, listen to lectures on the topic, "Trusting God through difficult times, while turning obstacles into opportunities"



ARRIVAL AND USE OF ENVELOPES

Kindly note that the weekly envelopes for the year 2021-2022 are now available. Monthly envelopes are also available at the Circuit Office. Please check with your congregational stewards or class leader. Members are encouraged to utilize the special envelopes earmarked for the different celebrations or causes. Note that the envelope for the School should be returned by the end of October 2021.



RESUMPTION OF MEETINGS

Circuit and congregational groups and organizations are encouraged to resume meetings where possible, being mindful to observe all COVID-19 protocols.



BREAST CANCER SUPPORT FACILITY

The Reach for Recovery SKB Inc. announces the opening and operation of a breast cancer support facility dubbed The Pink Zone. Visit the Pink Zone for breast cancer related information, pink memorabilia, designated counselling sessions, screening sessions at designated times or to make a donation. The Pink Zone is located at #8 OOJJs Commercial Complex, next to the Delta Petroleum gas station, and is opened daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Sis. Pat Farrell wishes to thank all who contributed to make this facility possible. "It’s more than health, it’s about hope and happiness".

CONDOLENCES AND THANKSGIVING SERVICES

The Thanksgiving Service for the life of the late Ziron Roberts will be held on Wednesday, 15 September, 2021 at the Wesley Methodist Church starting at 2 pm.



CIRCUIT OFFICE

The Circuit Office is open Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily and can be reached via telephone numbers 465-2346/662-2885 or email, info@skmethodist.org. Tithes and offerings may also be received at the office during these hours. Contributions may also be made on-line, via the Circuit website, www.skmethodist.org.



HARMONY BOOKSTORE OPENING HOURS

Harmony Christian Bookstore is also open daily, Monday to Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Visit the store for a wide variety of study materials and other Christian literature or call us at 466-1215.



METHODIST MEDIA

Methodist Media, the official communications arm of the Methodist Church St. Kitts Circuit, is available to provide services for upcoming circuit and congregational events.


If you would like to consult with the media team for your church event, please contact the church office and complete the Methodist Media request form.


We strongly recommend making your request at least 2 weeks prior to your event date. Note that you will be expected to meet with the media team at least twice prior to your event to ensure all needs are addressed and the media team has all the details needed to adequately support your event. Methodist Media looks forward to working with you.
