POSTPONEMENT OF CIRCUIT ORGAN RECITAL
Please note that the Circuit Organ Recital which was scheduled for 11 October, 2020 has been postponed to November. More details will follow.
CONDOLENCES and THANKSGIVING SERVICE
Condolences are extended to the family of the late Emile Elmes, including his sister in law, Pearline, and nephew, Alex.
The Thanksgiving Service for the late Bro. Albert Asquith Elmes, better known as “Al” or “Bertie”, and Bro. Emile Elmes will be held on Tuesday, 20 October, 2020 at the Wesley Methodist Church, Seaton Street, starting at 2:30 pm. Viewing and tributes will begin at 1:30 pm. Please note the changes in date and time of viewing.
Persons are invited to log on to the Circuit website to pay their tributes to both Rev. Dr. Wycherley Gumbs and Bro. Al Elmes.
We pray that the peace of Christ will dwell with all who are mourning at this time.
CIRCUIT OFFICE
Please note that the Circuit Office will be closed on Tuesday, 20 October, 2020 due to the Thanksgiving Service for Bro. Al Elmes. Any inconvenience caused is regretted. The Circuit Office will be opened the other days from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Tithes and offerings may also be received at the office during these hours. Contributions may also be made on-line, via the redesigned Circuit website, www.skmethodist.org
ARRIVAL AND USE OF ENVELOPES
Kindly note that the weekly envelopes for the year 2020-2021 are now available. Monthly envelopes are also available at the Circuit Office. Please check with your congregational stewards or class leader. Members are encouraged to utilize the special envelopes earmarked for the different celebrations or causes. Note that the envelope for the EMHMJ School should be returned by the end of October 2020.
ST PAUL’S METHODIST CHURCH AGRICULTURAL INITIATIVE
The St. Paul’s Methodist Congregation embarked on an agricultural initiative last month planting a few crops. Now available is its first yield of approximately 400 pounds of butternut squash at a cost of $3 per pound for anything less than 10 lbs and $2 per pound for anything 10 lbs or more. Interested persons are asked to contact Sis. Lorozine Williams at 663-9392.
HARMONY BOOKSTORE OPENING HOURS
Harmony Christian Bookstore is also open daily, Monday to Saturday, from 9:00a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Visit the store for a wide variety of study materials and other Christian literature.
