LID District Theme: “Trusting God Through Difficult Times: Transforming Obstacles into Opportunities”


CONNEXIONAL CONFERENCE (Virtual)

The Connexional Conference 2021 will conclude on Tuesday, 1 June. The LID Representatives are Bishop Charles Seaton, Rev’d Morna Christmas-Frazer, Sisters Cheryl Hill-Bruney and Adosha Francis. Members are invited and encouraged to share in any of the following remaining events:


  1. Morning Devotions Each morning at 8:00 a.m. via YouTube

  2. Official Conference Service Sunday, May 30 at 6:00 p.m. via YouTube

  3. Memorial Service Monday, May 31 at 8:00 a.m. via YouTube

  4. Session with MCCA Men Monday, May 31 at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom

  5. Induction of Vice President Tuesday June 1, at 6:00 p.m. via YouTube

LONG LEAVE

Please note that the Superintendent, Rev. Mark Christmas, will resume his long leave, in part, 1 June – 1 August 2021. Rev. Telford Matthew will superintend in his absence.


Note also that the Circuit Deacon, Rev. Stacia Williams-Christmas, will be on long leave, 1 June-31 August 2021.


VOLCANO IMMEDIATE RELIEF APPEAL- ST KITTS CIRCUIT

Members can continue to respond through monetary donations that can be made directly to the Church office or deposited at St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank Ltd – Account Number 25986; Account Name: Methodist Church - St. Kitts Circuit. If deposited to the bank, please indicate same to the Office. Thank you for your generosity and ask that you continue to keep the Government and People of St. Vincent and the Grenadines in your prayers.



CHANGE IN TIME OF WORSHIP SERVICES (CAYON)

Please note that as of the first Sunday in June (6) 2021, the time of worship service at the Cayon congregation will change to 9:00 am from 11:00 am.



CONGRATULATIONS AND CELEBRATIONS

We extend birthday and anniversary greetings to all who are celebrating this week. We remind and encourage you to offer thanks to Almighty God for his goodness and mercy throughout the years of your life and that of your loved ones.



CONDOLENCES AND THANKSGIVING SERVICE

Condolences are extended to Rev. Damien Hughes on the death of his brother, Lucien.


The Thanksgiving Service for the life of the late Rev. Selwyn Vanterpool, Supernumerary (LID, B.V.I) is being planned for Saturday, 12 June 2021. Further details will be given a subsequent announcement.


We pray that the peace of Christ will dwell with all who are mourning at this time.



CIRCUIT OFFICE

The Circuit Office is open Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily and can be reached via telephone numbers 465-2346/662-2885 or email, info@skmethodist.org. Tithes and offerings may also be received at the office during these hours. Contributions may also be made on-line, via the Circuit website, www.skmethodist.org.



HARMONY BOOKSTORE OPENING HOURS

The Harmony Christian Bookstore still has new books and journals, a wide variety of gift items to suit everyone on your list. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can call us at 466-1215. See you there.
