LID District Theme: “Trusting God Through Difficult Times: Transforming Obstacles into Opportunities”

ALDERSGATE LORD’S DAY OBSERVANCE

Next Sunday, May 23, 2021, the Circuit will join the rest of the Connexion in observing Aldersgate Lord’s Day, commemorating the heart-warming conversion experience of our Founder, John Wesley, on May 24, 1738. In this regard, due to COVID-19 restrictions, Aldersgate Services will be held in congregations throughout the Circuit at their usual times.

A blended (in person/virtual) Aldersgate Concert is being planned for next Sunday evening, May 23, at 6:00 p.m. under the theme, “Methodists: Our Praise We Raise.” Given that Covid-19 protocols stipulate only 150 persons can be at an event, congregations have been given a quota of persons to attend and members will need to sign up. Please inquire of your contact steward.

VOLCANO IMMEDIATE RELIEF APPEAL- ST KITTS CIRCUIT

We are grateful for the overwhelming support given so far. Unfortunately, NEMA took a decision not to ship any further items after the second week, which coincided with our initiation of collection. We have been informed that CDEMA is currently carrying out an assessment due to a “pile up” of goods on the receiving end that have not been distributed. We also understand that persons were allowed to return to their homes to engage in clean up exercises, hence, the advice that we hold off on sending any further items. Notwithstanding, members can continue to respond through monetary donations that can be made directly to the Church office or deposited at St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank Ltd – Account Number 25986; Account Name: Methodist Church - St. Kitts Circuit. If deposited to the bank, please indicate same to the Office. Again, we thank you for your generosity and ask that you continue to keep the Government and People of St. Vincent and the Grenadines in your prayers.

We extend birthday and anniversary greetings to all who are celebrating this week. We remind and encourage you to offer thanks to Almighty God for his goodness and mercy throughout the years of your life and that of your loved ones.
