LID District Theme: “Trusting God in Difficult Times: Transforming Obstacles into Opportunities”



SKCC LENTEN SERVICES

The St. Kitts Christian Council (SKCC) Midday Lenten Services (in person) continue this Wednesday, 16 March, 2022, under the general theme "Returning to Our First Love." The Services are being held at the Pro-Cathedral of St. George, Basseterre, from 12:10 p.m. to 12:40 p.m. The Methodist Communion will lead this week’s Service, the sub-theme for which will be “Responding in Love.” Please note that masks must be worn to the services and sanitisation of hands will take place. Please cooperate with the Ushers as you are escorted/directed to your seat. All are invited.



LENTEN TEACHING SESSIONS

Lenten Teaching Sessions continue virtually this Wednesday, 16 March, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. under the general theme, “Trusting God in Difficult Times: Transforming Obstacles into Opportunities.” The sub-theme for this week is, “Transforming Obstacles into Opportunities – Renewing Our Minds”. Sis. Michelle DeLaCoudray-Blake will be the guest presenter. The link remains the same for all sessions. All are invited.



MCCA MEN IN PRAISE - VISION

Under the distinguished patronage of The Right Excellent and Right Honourable Dr. Sir Kennedy Alphonse Simmonds and Lady Simmonds, the MCCA Men’s Commission presents a Musical Hourof Classics reimagined for all Generations, featuring Issa Kamal. The event takes place at the Wesley Methodist Church on Sunday, 27th March, 2022 at 5:30 pm sharp. Admission by tickets ($25.00) being sold at the Harmony Christian Book Store; Methodist Church Circuit Office; MCCA Men's Commission.



CIRCUIT ORGANIZATIONS AND EDUCATION COMMITTEE

The Circuit Organizations and Education Committee will meet on Tuesday, March 29th at 6 p.m. at the Immanuel Methodist Church Hall. All representatives from congregations and all Commission Chairpersons should be in attendance as very important issues will be discussed. The persons who should attend include:

  1. One Minister or probationer appointed to the Circuit.

  2. Two representatives from the Organizations and Education Committee of each congregation. (In the absence of the Congregational Organizations and Education committee, two representatives appointed by the Congregational Council.)

  3. The Convenor or Chairperson of each Circuit Commission: Women's Commission, Men's Commission, Youth and Young Adults Commission

  4. The General Superintendent of each Church School

  5. A representative of the Board of Management of the Day School in the Circuit, being Epworth Maurice Hillier Memorial Junior School

  6. Not less than three and not more than twelve members appointed by the Circuit Council

  7. Other resource personnel: A representative of the Methodist Media Team is invited to attend.

LOCALLY MADE JAMAICAN EASTER BUNS

Vision & Voices (Wesley) is once again having their “LOCALLY MADE JAMAICAN EASTER BUNS” sale at a cost of just $65.00 each. All orders must be placed by 01st April 2022. This can be done through any of its members. Proceeds are in aid of Missions.


SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships are currently available to nationals interested in pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate studies in various countries, including the USVI. For more information, please contact the Human Resource Department at Government Headquarters at 467-1323. Interested members are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunities available.

EPWORTH/MAURICE HILLIER SCHOOL REGISTRATION

Parents and Guardians are asked to note that registration for the new Kindergarten class 2022 -2023 at the Epworth/Maurice Hillier Memorial Junior School is now open. The Registration fee is $100.00, Non-Refundable. A recent passport sized (half snap) picture, birth certificate or passport, an immunization/Clinic Record for the person being registered, parents’ Identification card, a job letter, proof of address and immigration status for non-nationals must be presented at the time of registration, which ends on 18th March, 2022.

CIRCUIT OFFICE

The Circuit Office is open Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm daily and can be reached via telephone numbers 465-2346/662-2885 or email, info@skmethodist.org. Tithes and offerings may also be received at the office during these hours. Contributions may also be made on-line, via the Circuit website, www.skmethodist.org. The Office Staff takes the opportunity to extend to all the best for 2022.



HARMONY CHRISTIAN BOOKSTORE

The Harmony Christian Bookstore has a wide variety of study materials and other Christian literature and is opened daily, Monday to Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or call us at 466-1215.
