LID District Theme: “Trusting God in Difficult Times: Transforming Obstacles into Opportunities”



2022 HURRICANE SEASON

We are now in the 2022 Hurricane Season and all are encouraged to ensure that the necessary preparations are made. You are also encouraged to keep abreast of local storm information as issued by the Government Met Office or the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).


Congregations are asked to review and/or adjust their Emergency Preparedness plans to be able to respond if and when necessary.



CIRCUIT MCCA WOMEN

An invitation is extended to all MCCA women (18 years and older) to attend a meeting at the Immanuel Methodist Church, on Wednesday, 8 June 2022. The Meeting starts at 6: 30 pm. Please be present and punctual.



DEEPER FAITH SERVICES – ZONE 3

Zone 3 (St. Paul’s, KG Swanston Memorial, Tabernacle and Cayon) will be hosting a week of Deeper Faith Services, 12-17 June 2022. The Services will be held at the KG Swanston Memorial Methodist Church, Dieppe Bay, under the theme, “Rooted and Grounded in Christ”, 7:00 pm nightly. Friday night is Youth Night. All are invited.



MUSIC CAMP REGISTRATION - EXTENSION

Please note that the deadline for the registration of the Circuit Music Camp has been extended to Friday, 17 June 2022. Registration is at a cost of $100.00 and forms may be obtained from the Congregational Stewards of your congregation or from the Circuit Office.



EMHMJS TAKE AWAY DINNER FUNDRAISER

The Graduating Class of the Epworth/Maurice Hillier Memorial Junior School 2022 will be hosting a Take-Away Dinner at the Wesley Church Hall on Saturday, 18 June 2022 starting at 6:00 pm. Tickets are available from the School’s Office, Nevis Street, at a cost of $20 (Chicken/Pork) and $25 (Fish).



LID DEVOTIONALS VIA WHATSAPP

The Leeward Islands District through its Mission, Evangelism and Church Growth Committee now produces and disseminates Daily Devotionals via Whatsapp (except Sundays). Please ensure that you are in receipt of same via the various chats or members. This week’s Devotionals will be conducted by the Curacao Circuit.



WORLD FEDERATION OF METHODIST AND UNITING CHURCH WOMEN

The World Federation of Methodist and Uniting Church Women Assembly will be held online from August 9th-14th 2022. This Assembly is held every five years. The MCCA Women is part of such a body and all women of the Methodist Church, ages 18 and above, are invited to join with women from around the world in this virtual space. The Harmony Christian Bookstore has a wide variety of study materials and other Christian literature and is opened daily, Monday to Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or call us at 466-1215.
