LID District Theme: “Trusting God in Difficult Times: Transforming Obstacles into Opportunities”



2023 HURRICANE SEASON

We are now in the 2023 Hurricane Season and all are encouraged to ensure that the necessary preparations are made. You are also encouraged to keep abreast of local storm information as issued by the Government Met Office or the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).


Congregations are asked to review and/or adjust their Emergency Preparedness plans to be able to respond when necessary.



CIRCUIT REVIVAL SERVICES

The St. Kitts Circuit invites all to a week of Revival Services from Sunday, 16 – Sunday, 23 July 2023 at the Wesley Methodist Church under the Theme: “Refocus on Christ: Lord, Recreate Me.” The Services will be held nightly at 7:00 p.m. on weekdays and 6:00 p.m. on Sundays. Friday night has been designated as “Youth Night” and Sunday night, 23 July, as “Festival of Praise”. Bro. Vallon Francis will deliver the message on Sunday, 16th while Rev. Steadroy Pemberton of the Nevis Circuit will be our Guest Preacher from Monday to Friday. Come, Refocus, Be Recreated!!



ZONAL PRAYER AND FAST (6a.m.-9 a.m.)

In preparation for the Circuit Revival all are invited to share in Zonal Prayer and Fast Sessions that are being held as follows on Saturday, 15 July 2023:


Zone 1 St. Johnston

Zone 2 Challengers

Zone 3 Tabernacle


The first session was held on Saturday, 1 July.



COUNSELLORS SEMINAR

Persons interested in serving as counsellors for the upcoming Revival Services are invited to a Counsellors Seminar at the Wesley Methodist Church Hall on Thursday, 6 July 2023, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Interested persons should submit their names to Rev. Stacia Williams-Christmas (662-6557).



SAVE THE DATE

The MCCA Men's Commission of the St. Kitts Circuit announces its Annual Health and Wellness Walk and Breakfast. This event will take place on Saturday, 26 August 2023. The Walk will commence at 5:30 am from the Ebenezer Methodist Church Grounds and end at the Immanuel Methodist Church Hall where Breakfast will be served. The cost of the Breakfast is $20:00. Please plan to participate.

CONDOLENCES, THANKSGIVING SERVICES AND EXPRESSIONS OF THANKS

We pray that the peace of Christ will dwell with all who are mourning at this time including:


Sis. Leonora Gumbs (Ebenezer) and family on the death of her husband, George;


The family of the late Sis. Henrietta Thompson (St. Paul’s) including her daughters, Sisters Pauline Locker-Bailey and Paula Williams


The Government and People of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis and the family of the late Sir. S.W. Tapley Seaton, former Governor General (2015-2023). Sir. Tapley was a proud alumnus of the Epworth/Maurice Hillier Memorial Junior School.


ST CHRISTOPHER OUTREACH CENTER

Kindly note that volunteerism is encouraged at the Outreach Center as each Communion is rotated weekly. The Catholic Communion is responsible for the week of 03 - 07 July 2023. Persons desiring to volunteer at the Outreach Center, Irish Town Bay Road, can give their names to the Circuit Office.

Tithes and offerings may also be received at the office during these hours. Contributions may also be made on-line, via the Circuit website, www.skmethodist.org.



HARMONY CHRISTIAN BOOKSTORE

The Management of the Harmony Christian Bookstore is seeking volunteers. Interested persons are invited to call the Circuit Office for further details.The Harmony Christian Bookstore is open Monday to Saturday, except on Tuesday, 4 July (Public Holiday), from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or call us at 466-1215.
