LID District Theme: “Trusting God Through Difficult Times: Transforming Obstacles into Opportunities”


BIBLE STUDY

You are invited to link up for our Circuit Virtual Bible Study on Tuesday July 13, 2021, 7:00pm, and continuing throughout the lockdown period. The same link will be used for the duration of the lockdown. The Study focuses on the book of Romans. Read the book of Romans, as well as Paul’s Prison Epistles: Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians and Philemon, with supporting resources and come prepared to participate fully in the study. The Bible Study will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Carmelita Morton.



PRAYER AND REFLECTION

You are invited to join our Prayer and Reflection Session on Wednesday July 14, 2021, 7:00pm. The same zoom link will used for the sessions.



LONG LEAVE

Please note that the Superintendent, Rev. Mark Christmas, has resumed his long leave, in part, 1 June – 1 August 2021. Rev. Telford Matthew is superintending in his absence.


Note also that the Circuit Deacon, Rev. Stacia Williams-Christmas, is on long leave, 1 June - 31 August 2021.


CHANGE IN TIME OF WORSHIP SERVICES (CAYON)

Please note that as of the first Sunday in June (6) 2021, the time of worship service at the Cayon congregation was changed to 9:00 am from 11:00 am.



CONGRATULATIONS AND CELEBRATIONS

We extend birthday and anniversary greetings to all who are celebrating this week. We remind and encourage you to offer thanks to Almighty God for His goodness and mercy throughout the years of your life and that of your loved ones.



CONDOLENCES

Condolences are extended to the family of the late Sis. Delores Gumbs-Weekes (Wesley), including granddaughters, Sativa and Saphire Matthew (Wesley), the family of the late Sis. Agnes Morton (Wesley), including her husband Bro. Edmund Morton. May you find strength and comfort from our good Lord during this time of sorrow and grief.


May the souls of our departed sisters rest in eternal peace and rise in glory.


We pray that the peace of Christ will dwell with all who are mourning at this time.



CLOTH MASKS

Cloth masks with the MCCA crest are on sale for $15 only at the St.Kitts Circuit Church office. All masks are delivered on payment. The colours available are white and black. Please be advised that the masks that are sold from the St.Kitts Methodist Church office are authentic and approved by the Connexional Office.



CIRCUIT OFFICE

The Circuit Office times are curtailed. Please telephone numbers 465-2346/662-2885 or email, info@skmethodist.org to find the adjustments that have been made. Tithes and offerings may also be received at the office as arranged. Contributions may be made on-line as well, via the Circuit website, www.skmethodist.org.



HARMONY BOOKSTORE OPENING HOURS

The Harmony Christian Bookstore still has new books, journals and a wide variety of gift items to suit everyone on your list. However, the Bookstore is closed until further notice.

ST CHRISTOPHER OUTREACH CENTER

Persons desiring to volunteer at the Outreach Center, Irish Town Bay Road, can give their names to the Circuit Office. Operations have ceased for now.

Let us continue to be vigilant regarding the COVID-19 Pandemic. Please ensure that you observe all the protocols necessary for your safety and security. Also, keep watch and pray without ceasing. Pray!



ASSISTANCE IN TIMES OF TROUBLE AND NEED

You may know of persons who are in need during this time of crisis, especially some who are quarantined and in dire need of essential supplies; let us, in the true spirit of the Christian Community, demonstrate love and compassion by providing assistance where necessary.

That, Rev. Edwin L. Taylor, C.B.E, J.P., B.D., M.Sc, Ed. (1967 – 1970) was the first Connexional Secretary. He later served as Connexional President (1982 – 1987).

MISSIONS MONTH – JULY : Because of the current state of the COVID- 19 pandemic in the Federation, Missions will be celebrated virtually. Please ensure that you arrange with your Congregational Stewards an appropriate means for making your Rally Of Classes and Missions contributions.

Circuit Virtual Missionary Service. The Guest Preacher for Missions is the Rev. Patmore C. Henry Superintendent Minister of the St. Maarten Circuit.


OTHER EVENTS TO TAKE NOTE OF:

Local Presbyters’ Seminar:

The 2021 Local Presbyters’ Seminar will be held virtually from July 19 – 30, 2021. The Seminar is opened to other interested persons including other Local Presbyters, Local Preachers and Officers of our Church. Registration forms must be returned by July 12, 2021.


LID MCCA Men’s Commission Virtual Meeting:

The MCCA Men’s Commission Meeting will be held from July 23 -24, 2021. Each Circuit is required to have not less than Five (5) and not more than twelve (12) representatives at that grand premier Virtual forum. Registration Forms should have been submitted to Rev’d Jeanty MAUROSE by e-mail at jeantymaur@yahoo.fr by June 23, 2021.

The full cooperation of all concerned is anticipated in order to have a successful meeting.


THE DISTRICTS YOUTH LEADERS TRAINING SEMINAR (DYLTS) & THE YOUNG ADULTS SEMINAR (YAS) will run concurrently from July 14-17, 2021 and will be an all-virtual event. The Joint Opening Service will be hosted by the St. Thomas/St. John Circuit on Wednesday July 14th at 6:00 pm and the Closing Service on Saturday July 17th at 4:00 pm hosted by the Anguilla Circuit. THE ATLANTIC HURRICANE SEASON

We note that the Atlantic Hurricane Season commenced on 1 June and will end on November 30, 2021. Let us be vigilant and make the necessary preparations and adjustments and seek God’s protection and guidance as we face another hurricane season.

  • for our Nation, its leaders and all its resources and plans, in thanksgiving to Almighty God for His continued protection of our people and country, especially at this time as we go through the COVID-19 Pandemic with increased active cases and the hurricane season that it may not cause any destruction to persons or their properties;
