LID District Theme: “Trusting God Through Difficult Times: Transforming Obstacles into Opportunities”



PRAYER & FAST

Members are reminded and encouraged to participate in the monthly Prayer and Fast on Friday, July 30, 2021. Those using the Wesley Fast will begin on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at sunset and will end at 3:00 p.m. or at sunset on Friday, July 30, 2021. Members who will be doing the Daniel Fast will begin on Friday morning and end at 3:00 p.m. or sunset on the same day. This is a partial Fast in which you eliminate all meats, pastries, chips, bread, and fried foods during the Fast. You can eat fruits and vegetables and drink water only. Those who are on medication are asked to consult your doctor before starting a Fast.

Please pray every hour on the hour for three minutes or longer for different concerns.



BIBLE STUDY

You are invited to link up for our Circuit Virtual Bible Study on Tuesday July 27, 2021, 7:00pm. This will be our last study for this period. The same link will be used for the final study session. The Study focuses on the book of Romans. Read the book of Romans, as well as Paul’s Prison Epistles: Colossians & Philemon , with supporting resources and come prepared to participate fully in the study. The Bible Study will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Carmelita Morton.



PRAYER AND REFLECTION

You are invited to join our Prayer and Reflection Session on Wednesday July 28, 2021, 7:00pm. This will be our final session in this setting. The same zoom link will used for the final session.



LONG LEAVE

Please note that the Superintendent, Rev. Mark Christmas, has resumed his long leave, in part, 1 June – 1 August 2021. Rev. Telford Matthew is superintending in his absence.


Note also that the Circuit Deacon, Rev. Stacia Williams-Christmas, is on long leave, 1 June - 31 August 2021.


ANNUAL VACATION LEAVE

Rev. Tyrone Hunkins will be on annual vacation leave from July 19 – August 13, 2021;


Rev. Telford Matthew goes on annual vacation leave from August 2 – August 31, 2021



FAREWELL SERVICE

A Farewell Service For Rev. Telford and Sis. Petra Matthew will be held at the Ebenezer Congregation, Old Road, on Sunday August 15, 5:00pm.



MCCA WOMEN’S NOTICE

Congregations are reminded of their contribution to the Walk - Up Offering for Women's Work.

Congregational Stewards are asked to ensure that these Offerings be collected on the Lord's Day of the 1st and 8th August.

Your offerings are very a much appreciated.


Women's Groups are also reminded to submit their annual subscriptions or dues for the financial year.


Please let us strive to contribute as we, as MCCA Women reflect on the theme for the 2021 Connexional Conference “Facing the Task Unfinished,…”

CHANGE IN TIME OF WORSHIP SERVICES (CAYON)

Please note that as of the first Sunday in June (6) 2021, the time of worship service at the Cayon congregation was changed to 9:00 am from 11:00 am.



CONGRATULATIONS AND CELEBRATIONS

We extend birthday and anniversary greetings to all who are celebrating this week. We remind and encourage you to offer thanks to Almighty God for His goodness and mercy throughout the years of your life and that of your loved ones.



CONDOLENCES

Condolences are extended to the family of the late Sis. Agnes Morton (Wesley), including her husband Bro. Edmund Morton. May you find strength and comfort from our good Lord during this time of sorrow and grief.


May the souls of our departed sisters rest in eternal peace and rise in glory.


We pray that the peace of Christ will dwell with all who are mourning at this time.



CLOTH MASKS

Cloth masks with the MCCA crest are on sale for $15 only at the St.Kitts Circuit Church office. All masks are delivered on payment. The colours available are white and black. Please be advised that the masks that are sold from the St.Kitts Methodist Church office are authentic and approved by the Connexional Office.

Tithes and offerings may also be received at the office as arranged. Contributions may be made on-line as well, via the Circuit website, www.skmethodist.org.



HARMONY BOOKSTORE OPENING HOURS

The Harmony Christian Bookstore still has new books, journals and a wide variety of gift items to suit everyone on your list. The Bookstore is there to serve you and the general public.

Persons desiring to volunteer at the Outreach Center, Irish Town Bay Road, can give their names to the Circuit Office. Operations have resumed.

Let us continue to be vigilant regarding the COVID-19 Pandemic. Please ensure that you observe all the protocols necessary for your safety and security. Also, keep watch and pray without ceasing. Pray!



ASSISTANCE IN TIMES OF TROUBLE AND NEED

You may know of persons who are in need during this time of crisis, especially some who are quarantined and in dire need of essential supplies; let us, in the true spirit of the Christian Community, demonstrate love and compassion by providing assistance where necessary.

THE ATLANTIC HURRICANE SEASON

We note that the Atlantic Hurricane Season commenced on 1 June and will end on November 30, 2021. Let us be vigilant and make the necessary preparations and adjustments and seek God’s protection and guidance as we face another hurricane season.
