DISTRICT CONFERENCE 2021

Due to travel restrictions the Leeward Islands District Conference will convene virtually in its 215th Annual Meeting and 3rd Triennial Conference, January 11– 15, 2021. The delegates to Conference will be the Ministerial Staff and Supernumerary Ministers residing in the Circuit, the Circuit Stewards, lay delegates – Brother Kevington Pemberton and Sisters Lorozine Williams, Jennifer Hensley, and Trevere Swanston. Sister Tiffany Liburd will attend in her capacity as the LID Representative of the MCCA Youth and Young Adults Commission. Brother Sydney Matthew will attend in his capacity as the Acting President of the LID Men’s Commission. Our prayers are solicited for the President, Bishop Charles Seaton, the Officers, and members of the Conference.



ST. KITTS BOYS’ BRIGADE ISLAND COUNCIL

The St. Kitts Boys’ Brigade Island Council will meet on Monday, 4thJanuary, 2021 at the Wesley Annex, starting at 5:00p.m. Newly elected President, Lieutenant Damon Bacchus, will chair the Meeting. All officers are asked to be present and punctual.


All Covid19 protocols will be adhered to.



CIRCUIT MEN’S COMMISSION EXECUTIVE AND GENERAL MEETING

The St. Kitts Circuit Men’s Commission executive will meet on Tuesday, 12thJanuary, 2021 at the St. Johnston Methodist Church, starting at 5:00 p.m. All executive members are asked to take note and be guided accordingly.


In addition, there will be a general meeting of all men (18 years and older) of the Circuit on Tuesday, 19th January, 2021 at the Ebenezer Methodist Church, Old Road, commencing at 5:00 p.m. All men are asked to take note and be guided accordingly.


All Covid-19 protocols will be adhered to at both meetings. Kindly ensure to have your mask.



CONGRATULATIONS AND CELEBRATIONS

We extend birthday and anniversary greetings to all who are celebrating this week. We remind and encourage you to offer thanks to Almighty God for his goodness and mercy throughout the years of your life and that of your loved ones.



CONDOLENCES

Condolences are extended to the family of the late Sis. Sheila Crosse of St. Johnston. Sis. Shelia served her church and God in many capacities including CARE Fund Steward and Choir member. The Thanksgiving Service will be held at the Wesley Methodist Church on Thursday, 21 January 2021 starting at 2:00 pm.


Condolences are also extended to the family of the late Valentine “Val T” Thomas. Bro. Thomas was one who partnered with the Circuit during the lockdown period to broadcast services via his radio station Sugar City Roc FM (90.3).


We pray that the peace of Christ will dwell with all who are mourning at this time.



CIRCUIT OFFICE

The Circuit Office is open Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily. Tithes and offerings may also be received at the office during these hours. Contributions may also be made on-line, via the redesigned Circuit website, www.skmethodist.org. The Office Staff takes the opportunity to extend to all the best for 2021.



HARMONY BOOKSTORE OPENING HOURS

The Harmony Christian Bookstore still has new books and journals, a wide variety of gift items to suit everyone on your list. The 2021 edition of “Our Daily Bread” is also available. Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can call us at 466-1215. See you there.

Listen this and every Sunday night to the St. Kitts Christian Council’s Radio Programme, “Church Calling”, on WINN FM (98.1), 7 pm-8 pm. Second Sundays will be hosted by the Methodist Communion.



ST CHRISTOPHER OUTREACH CENTER

Persons desiring to volunteer at the Outreach Center, Irish Town Bay Road, can give their names to the Circuit Office. The Methodist Communion is rostered for January 4-8, 2021.
