LID District Theme: “Trusting God in Difficult Times: Transforming Obstacles into Opportunities”



PRAYER & PRAISE BREAKFAST

The Preachers Fellowship will be hosting a Prayer and Praise Breakfast on Saturday, January 28 ,2023 under the theme “Refocus on Christ: Lord, Recreate Me “at Wesley Methodist Church Hall at 6.30 a.m-9:30 a.m. We are inviting (2) two members of the congregations’ Mission and Evangelism committee to attend. Where there is no Committee, congregations are to kindly select (2) two persons to attend. We look forward to your favorable response by Wednesday, January 25 2023.



RESUMPTION OF STEELPAN PRACTICES

The Circuit Steelpan Band practices resumed on Saturday, 14 January 2023, at the Ebenezer Methodist Church Hall/Rev. Althea Jacobs Center. Persons are encouraged to sign up through the remainder of the month of January as there is room for more. It is the aim to have practices on an additional day as well. “Let all the instruments praise the Lord!”



CIRCUIT REVIVAL SERVICES – postponement

Unfortunately, the week of Circuit Revival Services has been postponed until further notice. Preparatory activities for these services will continue.


You are encouraged to participate fully as we make ourselves available for a fresh move of God in our lives.



IMMANULYPSO 2023

The Immanuel congregation is inviting persons interested in participating in this year’s Immanuel Calypso Competition (Immanulypso), slated for Friday, 24 February 2023, to call and register. Registration closes on January 31. The numbers to call are 663-7850 or 766-6997.



METHODIST MEDIA TEAM TRAINING SESSION

The Methodist Media Team will be hosting a media training session for persons interested in joining the media team, on Saturday, 4 March 2023 at 9:00 am at the Wesley Methodist Church Hall (Old Boy's School). Persons interested in all aspects of media are encouraged to attend, this includes, videography, photography, audio, technical etc. Members of all ages are encouraged to come out and develop a new skill.


Persons can register for the training session by completing the registration form on the circuit website www.skmethodist.org under the media tab, contacting the church office or connecting with members of the media team.

At the recently concluded 217th Annual Session of the Leeward Islands District Conference and the 8th District Council the LI District launched its new website, spearheaded by the District Young Adults Commission, and can be accessed via the link: www.lidmethodist.org

Bro. Christopher McMahon and family (Wesley) on the death of his twin brother, Stephen aka “Steve”. The Thanksgiving Service for his life will be held on Tuesday, 24 January 2023 at the Wesley Methodist Church, Seaton St. starting at 2:00 pm.


Sis. Dr. Ismay Taylor and family (Hope) on the death of her husband, Bro. Herman. The Thanksgiving Service for his life will be held on Friday, 3 February 2023 at the Zion Moravian Church, Victoria Road starting at 2:00 pm.


Bro. George Richardson and family (Immanuel) on the deaths of his aunts, Mrs. Alexis Connor, and Ms. Cynthia Richardson, both of Anguilla.

HARMONY CHRISTIAN BOOKSTORE

The Harmony Christian Bookstore advises that hard copies of “Our Daily Bread” devotionals will not be available for 2023 and apologises for any inconvenience caused. Patrons are encouraged to download the app from the Google Play Store. The Bookstore is open Monday to Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or call us at 466-1215.
