YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS COMMISSION PRAISE BREAKFAST

The Circuit Youth and Young Adults Commission will be holding its Annual Praise Breakfast (in a take-away format) on Saturday, 13 February, 2021 at the Wesley Methodist Church Hall (Old Boys’ School), 7 am-10 am. The theme for the event is, “The Love of Christ Constrains Us”. Tickets can be purchased from members of the Youth Commission at a cost of $25. Get your ticket early.



BOOK LAUNCH

The Circuit is invited to the launch of Rev. Telford Matthew’s Devotional Book, “God in the Midst of Calamity and Trouble”, on Friday, 12 February, 2021. This takes place at the Wesley Methodist Church Hall (Old Boys’ School) at 4:30 pm. Books will be available for purchase at the end of the ceremony. Covid-19 protocols will be observed.



2ND EDITION BLACK HISTORY CONCERT

The Immanuel Youth Fellowship is inviting one and all to its 2ndEdition Black History Concert under the theme,“He Lives in Us: A Century of Black Life, History, and Culture”. Indulge in the amazing talents of our performers from singing, to dancing, spoken word, and so much more. Sunday, 21st February, 2021 is the date. Immanuel Methodist Church in Sandy Point is the place, starting at 6pm. Our History has shown us that ‘courage can be contagious, and hope can take on a life of its own’.


Refreshments will be on sale!



MCCA MEN’S WEEK OF ACTIVITIES

The St. Kitts Circuit Men’s Commission will be having a week of activities surrounding the observance of MCCA Men Lord’s Day (the last Sunday of each year in the month of February) under the theme: “Trusting God in Difficult Times: Transforming Obstacles Into Opportunities.” The activities are as follows:



Saturday, 27th February - Men’s Rap Session

Venue: Railway Bar and Grill; Wingfield, Old Road

Time: 10:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m.


An address by Rev. Telford D. Matthew to officially launch Men’s Week of Activities 2021 (Media Stations/Platforms TBD)


Sunday, 28th February- MCCA Men Lord’s Day: (Men leading worship in all eleven (11) congregations across the Circuit.)

A special offering towards men’s work in the District will be taken.

Friday, 5th March- World Day of Prayer- (All are encouraged to attend the Zonal World Day of Prayer service organized within their zone)


Saturday, 6th March- Health and Wellness Walk & Breakfast

Starting Point: K.G. Swanston Memorial Methodist Church Grounds, Dieppe Bay

Finishing Point: Immanuel Methodist Church Hall, Crab Hill, Sandy Point

Time: 6:00 a.m. sharp

CIRCUIT MEN’S COMMISSION GENERAL MEETING

The St. Kitts Circuit Men’s Commission is inviting ALL men (18 years and older) to a general meeting on Tuesday, 16th February, 2021 at St. Johnston Methodist Church, starting at 5:30 p.m. This meeting will seek to address matters affecting men’s work within the Circuit and to give an update on the upcoming Men Lord’s Day and week of activities that is slated from Saturday, 27th February-Saturday, 6th March, 2021.


N.B: All Covid-19 protocols will be adhered to. Kindly ensure to have your masks at each of the events you are attending.



MAURICE HILLIER SCHOOL REGISTRATION

Parents and Guardians are asked to note that registration for the new Kindergarten class 2021 -2022 at the Epworth/Maurice Hillier Memorial Junior School is now open. The Registration fee is $100.00, Non-Refundable. A recent passport sized (half snap) picture, birth certificate, an immunization/Clinic Record for the person being registered, parents’ Identification card, and a job letter must be presented at the time of registration, which ends on 26th February, 2021. Please be guided accordingly.



SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships are currently available to nationals interested in pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the following countries: Taiwan, Turkey, Serbia, and Brazil. For more information, please contact the Human Resource Department at Government Headquarters at 467-1323. Interested members are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunities available.


CONGRATULATIONS AND CELEBRATIONS

CONDOLENCES AND THANKSGIVING SERVICES

We extend condolences to Rev. Damien Hughes on the death of his grand aunt, Madrianne Hughes.


We also extend condolences to Sis. Shenelle James of Phipps Memorial on the death of her father, Ian James.


The Thanksgiving Service of the late Dr. Keith Archibald will be held at the Wesley Methodist Church, Seaton Street, on Saturday, 20 February, 2021 starting at 11:00 am.


The Thanksgiving Service of the late Rev’d Dr. Oscar Millar, Supernumerary, South Caribbean District, was held on Tuesday, 2 February, 2021 at the James Street Methodist Church, Barbados.


We pray that the peace of Christ will dwell with all who are mourning at this time.
