LID District Theme: “Trusting God in Difficult Times: Transforming Obstacles into Opportunities”



FISH FRY - EBENEZER

The Ebenezer Methodist Church will be having a Fish Fry on Friday, 25th February 2022, on the church lawn staring at 6 pm. The Menu includes Fried Fish/Chicken, Potato salad, Breadfruit salad, Green salad, Corn on Cob, Bakes, and Garlic bread. This will be at a cost of only $20.00! To compliment this meal, drinks will be on sale. Come and enjoy a night of fun and relaxation. All Covid protocols will be observed. Proceeds will go towards Missions and its Window Fund.



MCCA MEN’S WEEK OF ACTIVITIES (27 FEBRUARY – 06 MARCH 2022)

The St. Kitts Circuit Men’s Commission will be having a week of activities surrounding the observance of MCCA Men Lord’s Day (the last Sunday in the month of February of each year). The activities are as follows:


Sunday, 27th February - MCCA Men Lord’s Day

(ALL men are to take an active role in the morning worship in the various congregations)

Open Air Service

Dieppe Bay at 5:30 p.m.


Tuesday, 1st March - Rap Session

Topic: “The Role of Men in and their Contribution to Community.”

St. Johnston Methodist Church at 6:30 p.m.


Thursday, 3rd March - Panel Discussion

Topic: “The Impact of the Pandemic on our Youth – physical, spiritual, psychosocial, educational.”

Immanuel Methodist Church at 6:30 p.m.


Saturday, 5th March – Zonal Cricket Match

Samuel Williams Sports Complex (formerly the Verchild’s Playing Field) at 10:00 a.m.


Sunday, 27th March - Men in Praise Concert at the Wesley Methodist Church starting at 5:30 p.m. (Please note the change in date)



MCCA MEN IN PRAISE - VISION

Under the distinguished patronage of The Right Excellent and Right Honourable Dr. Sir Kennedy Alphonse Simmonds and Lady Simmonds, the MCCA Men’s Commission presents a Musical Hour of Classics reimagined for all Generations, featuring Issa Kamal. The event takes place at the Wesley Methodist Church on Sunday, 27th March, 2022 at 5:30 pm sharp. Admission by tickets ($25.00) being sold at the Harmony Christian Book Store; Methodist Church Circuit Office; MCCA Men's Commission.



LI DISTRICT SINGLES MEETING

The LI District will be hosting its premier virtual “Singles Meeting” for persons ages 21-40 years, on Saturday, 5 March 2022, 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. If you are little younger or older and are interested, you are free to join. The Moderator will be Mrs. Jarmila Wilson-Berkel, Principal of the Bethel Methodist School, St. Eustatius.



SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships are currently available to nationals interested in pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate studies in various countries, including the USVI. For more information, please contact the Human Resource Department at Government Headquarters at 467 1323. Interested members are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunities available.

The Thanksgiving Service for the life of the late Sis. Veronica Herbert will be held at the Wesley Methodist Church on Tuesday, 22 February, 2022 starting at 10:00 am.


The Thanksgiving Service for the life of the late Bro. Jerome Pinney will be held at the Immanuel Methodist Church on Thursday, 24 February, 2022 starting at 2: 00 pm.

The family of the late Alexis Knight, thanks the members of the Wesley Congregation and all its groups and organizations and the St. Kitts Methodist Circuit for the condolences, prayers, and words of encouragement offered as they continue to mourn his passing but celebrate his life of service to God and to the Church.

EPWORTH/MAURICE HILLIER SCHOOL REGISTRATION

Parents and Guardians are asked to note that registration for the new Kindergarten class 2022 -2023 at the Epworth/Maurice Hillier Memorial Junior School is now open. The Registration fee is $100.00, Non-Refundable. A recent passport sized (half snap) picture, birth certificate or passport, an immunization/Clinic Record for the person being registered, parents’ Identification card, a job letter, proof of address and immigration status for non-nationals must be presented at the time of registration, which ends on 18th March, 2022.

CIRCUIT OFFICE

The Circuit Office is open Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily and can be reached via telephone numbers 465-2346/662-2885 or email, info@skmethodist.org. Tithes and offerings may also be received at the office during these hours. Contributions may also be made on-line, via the Circuit website, www.skmethodist.org. The Office Staff takes the opportunity to extend to all the best for 2022.

The Harmony Christian Bookstore has a wide variety of study materials and other Christian literature and is opened daily, Monday to Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or call us at 466-1215.
