MONITOR 2021 ATLANTIC HURRICANE SEASON & COVID-19

Please continue to monitor information supplied by the Government Met Office, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC) as we continue to be vigilant regarding the hurricane season and the COVID-19 Pandemic.



ASSISTANCE IN TIMES OF TROUBLE AND NEED

You may know of persons who are in need during this time of crisis, especially some who are quarantined and in dire need of essential supplies;let us, through the CARE Fund stewards, in the true spirit of the Christian Community, demonstrate love and compassion by assisting where necessary.



MISSIONARY CONTRIBUTIONS

Remember, if you have not yet given your Missionary contributions, you can still do so before the end of the Church year, August 31, 2021.



ANNUAL and LONG LEAVE

Please note that the Superintendent, Rev. Mark Christmas, will resume his long leave, 16 - 31 August 2021. Rev. Tyrone Hunkins will superintend in his absence.


Note also that the Circuit Deacon, Rev. Stacia Williams-Christmas, is on long leave until 31 August 2021.


Rev. Tyrone Hunkins is on annual leave until 13 August, 2021;


Rev. Telford Matthew is on annual leave until 31 August, 2021.



FAREWELL AND APPRECIATION SERVICE

A Farewell and Appreciation Service for Rev. Telford and Sis. Petra Matthew will be held at the Ebenezer Congregation, Old Road, on Sunday August 15, 2021 commencing at 5:00 p.m. The Service will be aired on the usual media platforms.



CIRCUIT MCCA WOMEN’S COMMISSION

Congregations are reminded of their contribution to the Walk - Up Offering for Women's Work. Congregational Stewards are asked to ensure that these Offerings be collected on the Lord's Days of the 1st and 8th August. Your offerings are very much appreciated.


Women's Groups are also reminded to submit their annual subscriptions or dues for the financial year.


The Circuit MCCA Women's Commission will be having a “MCCA Pioneer Women - Virtual Exchange of Knowledge”. Join us on Zoom, along with our Sisters of the Nevis Circuit, Thursday, 19th August, 2021, 7:00pm.

Be in the Knowing; Learning...about our Methodist Women who were the first to be involved in the work.


Please let us strive to contribute as we, MCCA Women, reflect on the theme for the 2021 Connexional Conference “Facing the Task Unfinished,…”

Cloth face masks, with the MCCA crest, are on sale at a cost of $15 from the Circuit Office. All masks are delivered on payment. The colours available are white and black.
