ZONE 3 CONFIRMATION SERVICE

Please note that the Zone 3 Confirmation Service will be held this afternoon Sunday 29th August 2021 at 4:30pm at St Paul’s Methodist Church. The Charge will be given by Rev. Veronica Williams-Gumbs.



MONITOR 2021 ATLANTIC HURRICANE SEASON & COVID-19

Please continue to monitor information supplied by the Government Met Office, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC) as we continue to be vigilant regarding the hurricane season and the COVID-19 Pandemic.



ASSISTANCE IN TIMES OF TROUBLE AND NEED

You may know of persons who are in need during this time of crisis, especially some who are quarantined and in dire need of essential supplies;let us, through the CARE Fund stewards, in the true spirit of the Christian Community, demonstrate love and compassion by assisting where necessary.



MISSIONARY CONTRIBUTIONS

Remember, if you have not yet given your Missionary contributions, you can still do so before the end of the Church year, August 31, 2021.



MONTHLY PRAYER AND FAST

Thanks to those who participated in the last Prayer and Fasting held on the last Friday of the month - 27th August, 2021. May God continue to strengthen you by his Holy Spirit.



ANNUAL PRAYER AND FAST

Please remember the week of Prayer and Fasting organized by the District Mission Evangelism and Outreach Committee at the beginning of the New Church Year Sept 5-12 2021.


ANNUAL and LONG LEAVE

Please note that the Superintendent, Rev. Mark Christmas, has resumed his long leave, 16 - 31 August 2021. Rev. Tyrone Hunkins will superintend in his absence.


Note also that the Circuit Deacon, Rev. Stacia Williams-Christmas, is on long leave until 31 August 2021.


Rev. Telford Matthew is on annual leave until 31 August, 2021.



ITEMS FOR THE FURNISHING OF THE CIRCUIT MANSE

Some congregations have still not yet made their contributions towards the furnishing of the newly constructed Dieppe Bay Manse. The contact Stewards of those Congregations or their substitutes are asked to please get in touch with the Circuit Steward, Sis Tyrona Bergan, as soon as possible at 664 3910 or 465 9605. The items are needed urgently.



BREAST CANCER SUPPORT FACILITY

The Reach for Recovery SKB Inc. announces the opening and operation of a breast cancer support facility dubbed The Pink Zone. Visit the Pink Zone for breast cancer related information, pink memorabilia, designated counselling sessions, screening sessions at designated times or to make a donation. The Pink Zone is located at #8 OOJJs Commercial Complex next to the Delta Petroleum gas station daily from 10:00am to 5:00 pm. Sis. Pat Farrell wishes to thank all who contributed to make this facility possible. " It’s more than health it’s about hope and happiness"

Women's Groups are also reminded to submit their annual subscriptions or dues for the financial year.

We pray that the peace of Christ will dwell with all who are mourning at this time.

Rev. Ruth Pratt (St. Maarten) on the death of her mother (Bahamas);


Bishop Theophilus Rolle (B/TCI) on the death of his father (Bahamas);


The family of the late Rev. Dr. Claude L. Cadogan (Jamaica, originally from Belize). Dr. Cadogan died at the age of 106 having served as the second Connexional President (1972-1977), and as the second Connexional Secretary (1970-1972). One of his lasting legacies is the design of the MCCA Crest;

The family of the late Bro. Samuel Jones (St. Johnston), including his granddaughter, Lesleigh Joseph. The Thanksgiving Service will be held on Thursday, 2nd September 2021 at the St. Johnston Methodist church starting at 2:00 pm;


The family of the late Sis. Isis Francis (St. Paul’s), including her sister, Diana Francis.

The Thanksgiving Service was held on Friday, 27thAugust 2021 at the St. Paul’s Methodist Church .


The family of the late Sis Alix Penchoen (Wesley). The Thanksgiving Service will be held on Monday, 30 August, 2021, at the Wesley Methodist Church, Seaton Street starting at 9:00 am.


The family of the late Godfrey "Sonnet" Lake (Wesley). The Thanksgiving Service will be held on Tuesday, 7th September, 2021 at the Wesley Methodist Church starting at 2:00 pm.


The Battice family (Wesley/Hope), especially Sis Javashti Battice-Evelyn, on the death of her son, Ziron Roberts. The Thanksgiving Service will be held on Wednesday, 15 September, 2021 at the Wesley Methodist Church starting at 2 pm.



CLOTH FACE MASKS

Cloth face masks, with the MCCA crest, are on sale at a cost of $15 from the Circuit Office. All masks are delivered on payment. The colours available are white and black.

Tithes and offerings may also be received at the office during these hours. Contributions may also be made on-line, via the Circuit website, www.skmethodist.org.
