LID District Theme: “Trusting God in Difficult Times: Transforming Obstacles into Opportunities”



HOLY WEEK SERVICES

2023 Holy Week Services will be held nightly in congregations according to the Preachers’ Plan.


Holy Thursday Services will be held in Zones at the following locations:

Zone 1 at Wesley; Zone 2 at Immanuel; Zone 3 at Tabernacle. The Sacrament of Holy Communion will be administered.



LID DEVOTIONALS VIA WHATSAPP

This week’s Devotionals will be conducted by the Dominica Circuit.



“WHAT HAS HE DONE?” - SAVE THE DATE

The Women of Wesley (WoW) presents the traditional Good Friday Play on Friday, 7 April at the Wesley Methodist Church Hall starting at 7 pm. Come and witness a night of drama and music as we ponder the theme, “What Has He Done?”. Admission is only $20 and tickets are on sale from members of the group and the Harmony Christian Bookstore.



“HE HAS CONQUERED THE GRAVE” – SAVE THE DATE

The Wesley Youths On The Go is delighted to present its second Easter Concert under the theme “He Has Conquered The Grave”. The Concert will be held on Sunday, 9 April 2023 at 5:00 pm at the Wesley Methodist Church and will feature music, singing, dance and choral reading. The price is only $20 for adults and children under the age of twelve (12) will pay $5 at the door. Tickets are available from the Wesley Youths, Youth Advisers and at the Harmony Christian Book Store. Come and enjoy an evening filled with blessings as we celebrate Jesus’ victory over the grave.

CONDOLENCES, THANKSGIVING SERVICES AND EXPRESSIONS OF THANKS

The family of the late Rev’d Dr. T. Anne Daniel (South C/bean/USA) including her husband, Sydney, and their two sons. Dr. Daniel served as the first female President of a District in the South Caribbean;


The family of the late Sis. Agatha Pemberton (Wesley);


The family of the late Sis. Gerda Warner (Immanuel) including her son, Shawn. The Thanksgiving Service for the life of the late Sis. Gerda will be held on Thursday, 13 April 2023 at the Immanuel Methodist Church starting at 2:00 pm.



ST CHRISTOPHER OUTREACH CENTER

Kindly note that volunteerism is encouraged at the Outreach Center as each Communion is rotated weekly. The Methodist Communion is responsible for the week of 3-7 April 2023. Persons desiring to volunteer at the Outreach Center, Irish Town Bay Road, can give their names to the Circuit Office.
